FIFA 21 release date, trailer and features revealed for Xbox, Playstation and Pc
The next installment in EA's hugely popular FIFA gaming franchise was teased at an online event called EA Play at midnight on Friday June 19 UK time - this is what we learned about FIFA 21 ahead of its release date.
In an online streaming event at midnight on Friday June 19 UK time, EA Play gave FIFA fans around the world a glimpse of the first FIFA title that will be played on next-gen consoles, with FIFA 21 due out later this year.
It was confirmed at the event that FIFA 21 will launch worldwide on October 9, 2020 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. but If you pre-order the FIFA 21 Ultimate Edition or Champions Edition you’ll be able to play from October 6. The EA Access (PS4, Xbox One) and Origin Access (PC) Play First Trials will start on October 1.
And it has also been confirmed that when you purchase FIFA 21 on Xbox, PS4 or PC, you'll have access to something called Dual Entitlement in regards to upgrading to next-gen consoles Playstation 5 and Xbox One Series X.
This means that once you have your PlayStation5 or Xbox Series X, Dual Entitlement enables you to upgrade your copy of FIFA 21 on PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5, or from Xbox One to Xbox Series X, at no extra cost. The Dual Entitlement offer will let you upgrade your copy of the game at no extra cost up until the release of FIFA 22.
All progress you make or content you acquire within FIFA 21 Ultimate Team (including players, items, coins, FIFA Points, match record, and leaderboard placement), as well as all progression in VOLTA FOOTBALL will transfer from PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5 and back, or Xbox One to Xbox Series X and back.

In addition to the release date and Dual Entitlement, FIFA fans were given a bit more detail about what to expect for FIFA 21 when played on next-gen consoles such as Playstation 5 and Xbox One Series X.
